Front of House Volunteer

Meet and welcome our many visitors, offer a superb visitor experience and manage the day-to-day running of this popular museum.

What you'll get from us

What we need from you

  • Taking admissions, handling enquiries, and offering introductory talks to visitors.

  • Organised, smart appearance and a friendly manner. Good at working as a team.

  • Can handle a diary, be accurate with messages and give clear information.

  • Happy with a till, or quick to learn. Willing to find out more about our canals and their history.

  • Happy to be trained in Health and Safety matters, Customer Care and how to give short presentations.

What's it like?
